There are so many fun things you can do on holiday in Wollongong, but the most popular attraction by far is our city’s beautiful beaches.
We’re excited for the start of the 2021-2022 swim season, with Council Lifeguards and volunteer life savers back patrolling 17 of Wollongong’s beaches, from Stanwell Park in the north, to Windang in the south.
And the great news is, when you’re staying at Bulli, Corrimal or Windang, you’ll have a patrolled beach in easy reach of your cabin, tent or caravan!
But as beautiful as our beaches are, they can also be deadly if you’re not beach smart. Check out this video for tips to keep you and your family safe on our beaches:
This year, as well as following the ‘No Flags = No Swim’ rules, we all need to take extra steps to be COVID-safe.
Beach visitors must follow all current NSW Public Health rules and are encouraged to ‘swim and go’ to help avoid over-crowding.
But don’t worry, there are lots of other outdoor areas and activities you can enjoy during your stay. Check out the Visit Wollongong website, or talk to our friendly staff for some great ideas!
