Our Neighbourhood
Your coastal home away from home
Bulli Beach Tourist Park is tucked into a peaceful residential area, surrounded by open green spaces, coastal charm and stunning views of the Illawarra escarpment and Bulli Beach. Whether you’re craving a great coffee, need to stock up on essentials for your stay, or want to explore the local scene, everything you need is just around the corner.
Food and shops
Start your day with a delicious bite or a fresh brew at 34° South Bulli, right here in the park. This is your go-to spot for relaxed vibes and tasty treats. You’ll find it in the north-east corner of the park overlooking the beach.
Need to stock up or do a little shopping? Bulli Town Centre is just a four-minute drive away, offering everything from Woolworths and fresh food to cosy cafés and specialty stores. Or take a five-minute drive to Woonona, where you’ll find even more restaurants, an IGA, and local shops along the Princes Highway.
Swimming
When it’s time to cool off, you’re spoiled for choice. Bulli Beach is right outside the park and patrolled by lifeguards from late September to Anzac Day. For a refreshing dip with a view, walk three minutes north to Bulli Rock Pool on the headland. If the tide’s high, take a scenic 20-minute walk south to Woonona Ocean Pool, which stays calm and swimmable year-round. Read Council’s beach safety page before you head to the beach.

			Fitness
Feeling active? Stretch your legs at Nicholson Park in Woonona, just a 10-minute walk south, where you’ll find free outdoor exercise equipment. For a full fitness experience, Beaton Park Leisure Centre is a 15-minute drive away and offers a gym, heated pool, spa, sauna, and casual pay-as-you-go options.
And if you love cycling or walking with a view, you’re in for a treat. The Illawarra Cycleway runs right past the park, offering a scenic, mostly flat path that hugs the coastline for kilometres. Whether you’re up for a leisurely ride, a morning jog, or a sunset stroll, this shared path takes you through beaches, parks, and charming seaside villages. It’s a fantastic way to explore the region at your own pace – and don’t forget your camera, because the views are spectacular. There’s plenty of cycling options in Wollongong – Australia’s first UCI bike City.

			Transport
Getting around is easy too. There’s a bus stop just two minutes away on Farrell Road, connecting you to Wollongong City Centre. If you’re heading further afield, Bulli Train Station is about a 21-minute walk away and offers direct travel to Wollongong or Sydney.
Visit the Transport for NSW website for bus and train information and timetables.
Health and Medical
For health and medical needs, Bulli Medical Practice is nearby on Park Road, and Bulli Hospital and Urgent Care Centre is just a four-minute drive away. It has an urgent care centre staffed daily, though it doesn’t have an emergency department. For emergencies, Wollongong Hospital is about 15 minutes away and open 24/7.

			Libraries
If you’re staying a little longer or just love a good book, Thirroul Library is a short seven-minute drive away. You can use public computers, free Wi-Fi, and even sign up for a temporary membership to borrow books and access online resources.
See the Wollongong City Libraries website for more information.
Seacliff Bridge
For a truly unforgettable experience, don’t miss the Sea Cliff Bridge – one of the most iconic coastal drives in Australia.
