Due to maintenance there will be some disruptions to Wollongong City Council's web services on Tuesday 2 April from 6:00pm onwards.


Once you've arrived safely in Wollongong, there are a number of easy and affordable transport options to get you from A to B.

Wollongong Shuttle Bus

Wollongong's FREE Gong Shuttle Bus makes it easy to get around Wollongong's CBD. The service operates in both directions on a loop from Wollongong Station to Wollongong University via Wollongong Hospital, Burelli Street and the Innovation Campus. On weekdays the Shuttle operates every 10 minutes between 7am and 6pm and every 20 minutes from 6pm to 10pm. On weekends the Shuttle operates every 20 minutes between 8am and 6pm.

Other Wollongong Bus Setvices

The route number 4 to Wollongong via Woonona service and route number 4U Wollongong University service depart from Bulli Beach Tourist Park Farrell Rd (Stop 251638).

Train Services

If you're looking to travel to the outer suburbs of Wollongong and/or to some of the beautiful coastal towns further south such as Shellharbour, Kiama or Nowra, CityRail offers regular timetabled services via the South Coast Line.

The South Coast Line towards Thirroul/Waterfall/Bondi Junction (north) departs from Bulli Station, Platform 1, and the South Coast Line towards Wollongong/Port Kembla/Kiama (south) departs from Bulli Station, Platform 2.

Taxi Service

Wollongong Radio Cabs has 136 taxis serving the entire Illawarra region from the top of Helensburgh to south of Albion Park. There are 12 accessible taxis available to passengers with disabilities, and Maxi Taxis can carry up to 11 passengers. When time matters you can book in advance to be assured you are there on time.
